Wiltshire Community Foundation has made a significant contribution to local communities by making grants of £10 million since 1991, giving money and support where people in Wiltshire and Swindon need it most.
We are proud to support Swindon as a City of Sanctuary for refugees and asylum seekers.
What is a Community Foundation?
UK Community Foundations
UK Community Foundations is the national network for all accredited Community Foundations across the country.
- UKCF helps people and organisations to invest in local communities where it is most needed and where it will make most impact. UKCF envisages a society where communities will be able to support all those in need.
- UKCF covers the whole of the United Kingdom and we have an unparalleled reach into local communities. Each Community Foundation has an in depth understanding of their local area, what the priority needs are and how best to address these issues. They are able to direct donors to fund causes that they are not only passionate about but that will make the most difference.

UKCF quality accredit member community foundations to standards endorsed by the Charity Commission and provide advice and support. Quality Accreditation is a programme run by UKCF to endorse and encourage best practice in the network.
We work closely with the seven community foundations in the South West of England. Our key relationships are with Cornwall Community Foundation, Devon Community Foundation, Dorset Community Foundation, Gloucestershire, Quartet and Somerset Community Foundation.
