Professional Advisor Event to be held to inspire local philanthropy

We are excited to announce our upcoming Professional Advisor Event, designed specifically for solicitors, accountants, financial planners, and wealth managers who support clients in Wiltshire and Swindon. This event will explore the powerful role that professional advisors play in inspiring meaningful, local philanthropy.

Taking place on 24 June at Milford Hall in Salisbury, the event brings together advisors from across the region to deepen their understanding of how to help clients make impactful charitable decisions—integrating giving into estate planning, tax strategy, and long-term financial goals.

Attendees will hear from current fund-holders: Sue Webber, who established the Dan Webber Fund in memory of her son, and James Phipps, who will share his journey of creating the Phipps Family Fund.

Our Director of Partnerships, Margaret Firth, will introduce our innovative Local Insight platform, which provides access to data and research on the pressing needs within our communities—equipping advisors with evidence-based tools to guide philanthropic conversations.

A dedicated session led by Samantha O’Sullivan and Elizabeth Webbe will focus on how professionals can confidently incorporate charitable giving into financial and estate planning strategies—helping clients achieve both their philanthropic aspirations and financial objectives.

The day will also include networking opportunities with speakers, fellow advisors, and members of our team.

Oliver Selfe, our Philanthropy Director, said: “We are thrilled to host this event for professional advisors who are at the heart of guiding clients through some of their most important life decisions. Whether you’re helping with legacy planning, tax efficiency, or wealth management, philanthropy is a powerful way to add depth and impact to your client services.

“This event is about sharing knowledge, sparking new conversations, and showing how local giving can become a meaningful part of financial planning.”

We would like to thank the brilliant team at A2Z Cloud for their support in making this event possible, and Milford Hall in Salisbury, for their generosity in allowing us to facilitate this event.

Tickets are £50 per person, plus a booking fee, and include lunch and refreshments.
